The Indian Embassy, in Kuwait announced the launch of the Hindi radio broadcast in Kuwait praising the Ministry of Information for introducing a Hindi program on Kuwait Radios FM 93.3 and AM 96.3 every Sunday.
This initiative is expected to enhance the bond between India and Kuwait as highlighted by the Indian Embassy in Kuwait.
In a social media post the Indian Embassy expressed gratitude to @MOInformation for initiating the Hindi radio program on Kuwait Radio broadcasting on FM 93.3 and AM 96.3 every Sunday from 8;30 pm to 9 pm starting April 21 2024. This move is anticipated to solidify the relationship between India and Kuwait.
The Indian community comprising one million individuals is considered the expatriate community in Kuwait and holds a prominent position among other expatriate communities within the country according to statements from the Indian Embassy in Kuwait.
Various professionals including engineers, doctors, chartered accountants, scientists, software experts, management consultants, architects; technicians and nurses; retail traders and businessmen are part of this thriving community residing in Kuwait.
Moreover the Indian Business Community has made contributions, to the sector and distributorship market in Kuwait.
India and Kuwait have a history of friendly relations as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
Kuwait has been a trading partner, for India with the Indian rupee being the currency until 1961. The year 2021 22 marked the anniversary of ties between the two nations.
On April 17 Adarsh Swaika, the ambassador to Kuwait met with Kuwaits Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah. During their meeting Ambassador Swaika commended Sheikh Fahads efforts to support expatriates and shared updates on the community.
The Indian Embassy in Kuwait shared on X; “Amb @AdarshSwaika1 met with Dy PM & Minister of Defence H.E Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah. Amb expressed gratitude for expatriate initiatives, under his leadership. Briefed him on developments concerning the Indian community.”
